I love running!
Since I was 15 I started running loops around our village. At that time I just wanted to be fitter. I remember so clearly how good it made me feel, that the urge to go for a run was so strong.
Over the past 24 years the reasons to go for a run were changing. Some times it was to lose weight, to relieve the stress from work, to boost my energy, to let the steam out, to be fitter and in the past year, to overcome my long year battle with depression.
Whatever the reason was, running has always helped me. So here are the tips I would like to share with you that has massively improved the experience of my running :)
1. Good pair of trainers.
Read in this link how to choose the best running shoe for you and your needs.
It makes a massive difference if you have proper running trainers. Run feels comfortable and soft on your feet. You should cut your toe nails as it makes it very painful.
I always buy half size bigger, as it allows my toes to be more comfortable. You can notice if your trainers start breaking above your toes, it means they are too tight for you.
My choice is always Nike as the model suit me, but there is other great trainers out there as well.

2. Running leggings with string and phone pocket
I have noticed a massive difference while I am running, that some of my leggings are sliding down due to material, so I love my only pair of running leggings that have a string to make them tighter around my waist and back pocket with a zip, where I can place my phone.
I normally take off my house key and tight it to my laces or sometimes I put it in my back pocket.
3. Running socks
They are designed to have the shape, grip and comfort for running. My normal socks normally slide down due to repetitive movement, but running socks stay and don't make it a fuss during your running. It is really worth to pay a bit more.
4. How to make your shoe laces to avoid stopping
Click here on this link to check how you can make your laces differently. Sometimes it can be very annoying when your laces constantly keep loosening up, so I double up the lacing on top and never have issues to stop my run to fix my trainers.
5. Running Clothing, Ear and neck warmer, gloves
This is personal preference in colder days. Some people are more prone to being cold and others find it too much as they get hot easily.
Getting running tops are on the dry-fit materials, they take sweat away from you and dry quickly.
In colder weather it is really nice to run outside, but without protecting my ears, neck and hands, I find it very uncomfortable.
Thin gloves protect your hands from wind, but when you get running they get warm and sweaty, so thicker gloves you always end up taking off.

6. Running bottle with a hand gap
It helps while you are running that has a natural grip and also this type of bottle that you can suck water from is great, so you don't get water all over your face and clothes.
7. Visibility Jacket for darker days
Don't forget if you go outside to wear bright colours or even visibility jacket, to keep you safe.
