You wouldn’t try to drive your car without any petrol, so, why would you make your body function without its fuel? Many people don’t realize the importance of breakfast; it really is the most important meal of your day!
After sleeping, your body is drained of its fuel sources, because it has fasted all night. In order to “wake” your body up, it must first be refueled .Breakfast gives your body the kick start it needs to function successfully all day long. By breaking up the word breakfast, you can find why it is such a critical meal; you need to break the fast. By not eating this meal, you are making yourself more tired and irritable.
Breakfast can make you happier and healthier! A healthy breakfast can benefit your mood, physical and mental performance, weight and health.
* Include protein and greens in your breakfast if you can. You must have some protein to fire your metabolism in the morning – be it eggs, smoked salmon, meat, cheese, milk or yoghurt. Eggs are particularly good, but don’t have them every day: be sure to enjoy a wide variety of protein.
* Ideally have a glass of slightly cooled boiled water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice when you first wake up. This not only hydrates but also helps detox your system. You’ll notice a difference in your energy levels, skin and hair, and you’ll look less bloated. Another good option is a cup of green tea, or at the very least a glass of mineral water: have one by your bed and sip it as you get up.
